FARMVILLE, Va. - The Longwood University women's basketball program and Athletics Department have announced that admission to the 2009 Lancer Classic, held November 28 & 29 in Willett Hall in Farmville, will be free with a canned food donation to Farmville Area Community Emergency Services (FACES). The classic gets underway on Saturday, November 28, when Gardner-Webb University takes on Morehead State University at 12 p.m.. The Lancers will face Texas-Pan American at 2 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, Texas-Pan American plays Gardner-Webb at 12 p.m. and Longwood hosts Morehead State at 2 p.m..

FACES is based in Farmville and gathers food and distributes it to families in need in the Farmville area. The organization began in 1981 and ranks third in Central Virginia in food distributed.
