NORFOLK, Va. -- The Longwood University baseball game Wednesday night at Old Dominion University of the Colonial Athletic Association was rained out in the bottom of the second inning. The game started on time at 6 p.m. before a 3:12 rain delay in the top of the second inning with the Lancers leading 3-0 after a three-run first. Following the extended delay, the contest resumed and LU scored three more runs in the second to lead 6-0, but unfortunately the rains returned again and the game was called -- resulting in cancelation and no official statistics. Longwood (23-18) will travel back to Norfolk this weekend, May 15-16, for another three-game weekend road series at Norfolk State University of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The two schools will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m..
