Kesley Dean Named Independent Player Of The Week

FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University sophomore Kesley Dean/Centreville, Md. (Queen Anne's) has been named the women's lacrosse Independent Player of the Week for her play in a pair of Longwood games in the week ending April 19. Dean scored seven goals and added one assist in the two games. This is the second time she has earned the award this season.

The sophomore started the week with two goals and one assist in Longwood's 16-13 loss to Villanova University last Friday (4/17). Dean followed with a game-high five goals on six shots in the Lancers' 14-12 win over Lafayette College on Sunday (4/19).

Longwood returns to the field on Friday, May 1, hosting the National Lacrosse Conference tournament at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. The Lancers' opponent and game time will be announced at a later date.
