Bill Reinson is in his ninth year at Longwood University during 2010-11, joining the program in 2002-03. He previously served two seasons (2000-02) as an assistant coach at Southern Conference member UNC Greensboro.

At Longwood, Reinson is involved with the most important aspects of the program. These include on and off campus recruiting, opponent scouting and game plan preparation, player skill development, as well as assisting head coach Mike Gillian with daily practice preparation and opponent scheduling. Reinson served as the interim head coach for two games (1-1) late in the 2002-03 season, his first at the school, due to an illness of the head coach.

During Reinson’s two seasons as an assistant coach at UNCG under head coach Fran McCaffery (now head coach at the University of Iowa), the Spartans went 39-23 overall, winning the 2001 Southern Conference Tournament Championship. UNC Greensboro earned one NCAA Tournament appearance (2001) and made one National Invitation Tournament (NIT) appearance (2002).

A native of Mesa, Arizona, Reinson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife, Lana, have three daughters: Megan (25), a graduate of Virginia Tech, Bria (20), a student at Longwood, and Taylor (16) along with two sons: Niko (12) and Spiros (10).
