BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Longwood University dropped a 3-0 women’s soccer road decision Sunday at Long Island University of the Northeast Conference (NEC) in Brooklyn, New York. The Lancers (3-3) had their recent three-match winning streak stopped by the host Blackbirds (3-1-1). Longwood will return to action on Friday night, September 10, hosting NEC member Mount St. Mary’s University at the Athletics Complex in Farmville beginning at 7 p.m.

FARMVILLE, Va. - The Longwood University men’s soccer team fell to Liberty University of the Big South Conference 2-0 on Saturday evening at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. The Flames (2-0) scored a goal in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second half. The Lancers (0-2) return to action on Wednesday, September 8, when they host George Washington University at 7:00 at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. Admission is free.

FARMVILLE, Va. - The Longwood University field hockey fell to #10 Duke University of the Atlantic Coast Conference 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. Sophomore goalkeeper Kaye Goulding | Tickhill, England (Wakefield Girls) had six saves on the day. Mary Nielson scored both of the Duke goals in a three-minute span near the end of the first half that proved to be the difference. Longwood (1-2) returns to action on Tuesday, September 7, when they face Wake Forest University at 7 p.m. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The host Keydets took first place with three points. The Lancers will compete again next Saturday, September 11, at the James Madison Invitational in New Market near Harrisonburg.
